I have followed your experiences with detox baths. Now, just over one month since explant, I am interested in beginning. Can some of you share your recipe for the bath? What were your experiences? How do you know it is working? I have seen that there are some commercial detox baths...are they worth the money...or is a "home brew" just as effective?

Hi Jeanne,

There is no need to purchase expensive detox soaks, unless that is something you like to do, or find a product that has extra special qualities you think will be helpful.

I think there are many simple detox baths you can benefit from by using common ingredients found in your kitchen, such as vinegar ginger root, sea salt, borax and more. There are recipes on the web..just look them up. Additionally, you can find books that are full of great ideas for detox baths.

One great book is called "Earthly Bodies, Heavenly Hair by Dina Falconi. It is chock full of ideas for natural beautification and detoxification.

Another is The Rebellious Body, by Janice Strubbe Wittenberg. More baths in there.

Here is a link for a simple bath:

Here is another with more:

I don't see why you can't make up your own, as long as the ingredients are safe!

Hope this helps!

These are a great idea Patty,

I've written the books down too and will try our library. Also I

looked at the recipe, is that recipe for one bath or multiple baths?
