Guest guest
Mindy, I had saline implants in July 98. I had no idea that explanting was an option. I knew from the first day post-op that my body was rejecting them. I kept rationalizing that everything was ok, and that I was just detoxing from the anesthesia. I've developed health problems that have been diagnosed, namely major depressive disorder, hypothyroidism, bruxism, and other problems include swelling of joints, pain in muscles, insomnia, extreme fatigue, blurred vision, I could go on and on.... My point is that the implants for me were a mistake. I cannot speak for you. I only found this site in February after screaming at God that I needed some kind of help that I wasn't getting. I wish I had done an internet search that first week; I might have had the courage to explant then. I'm not a doctor, and I'm not suggesting your decision, but I'm just saying that the stories of the women on this site have probably saved me years of bad health and unhappiness. I do know that you probably have not yet developed the capsules around the implants that the body creates to protect itself from a foreign body. Therefore, it might be an easier explant. I will send sunshine thoughts your way as you make your own decision. Your story may be different from mine....J
Guest guest
Hi Mindy, It sounds like your body is reacting violently to your implants. You have so many of the symptoms we've all experienced with implants and you've only had them for two weeks! I think the message is very clear. You must have them removed as soon as you possibly can. Let us know what your surgeon says. How can they possibly deny that implants are making women sick when they see cases like this. I'm betting it won't take long for you to get your health back since you have only had them such a short while. Good Luck, Anita I can't believe this is happening. Good Morning:Can anyone help? I was a healthy 33 year old and a mother of two. I received saline implants on 2/28/05. I was sore for three days, felt good for three days; felt I had the flu for three days. Now, I become very sick since last Saturday. I seem to have all the symptoms that many of you have experienced. I feel swaying, dizzy, foggy, freezing, sweating, tingling of over my body, cannot concentrate, muscle weakness, tingling in my face, numbness in my hands and feet, dry eyes and mouth, pain in my hip, hardly can produce tears, anxiety, heart palpitations and had a panic attack.I have had blood work done by my general doctor thinking I might have low blood sugar. After reading testimony after testimony, I am convinced it is the implants. I am calling the surgeon today and scheduling to have them removed. Has anyone had implants removed immediately? I am not sure if it can be done; however, it is well worth the try. I can't believe I did this to myself and pray toGod that my life gets back to normal.Thank you in advance for responding.Mindy
Guest guest
Mindy, Maybe God is telling you something! . . . Welcome here! Your symptoms sound like us! Just one note . . . Is it possible you have the flu? . .. . If so, you don't want to be having surgery while you're sick with flu. If it is implants, the sooner you get them out, the better! . . . Just one note. . . A capsule forms around implants to wall off self from non-self. IF there is a capsule around yours already, your doctor may tell you it's fine to leave it behind. WRONG! . . .. Whatever capsule is there will be contaminated with whatever bacteria your implants have. This must come out. The best solution is for your doctor to first drain your implants by needle, then remove them " en bloc " . .. .that means, removing the capsule with the implant still in it. Don't let the doctor tell you it's harmless. On the other hand, there may not be a capsule there yet. . . After you get your implants removed, we have a number of suggestions for detoxing if you need it. Chances are, the implants are the source of your problems, whether by contamination, or your body's reaction to them. You may bounce back immediately, or you may need some time to clear the toxins. Let us know. We'll be here for you! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Hi Mindy, That's exactly how my symptoms started I had the same ones your having, mine started 2wks after my surgery but I waited 6months to have them removed & its taken me awhile to feel better with alot of work, its amazing how sick they made me so fast! Before implants I had NO symptoms, then 2wks after surgery the dizzy spells started, then my first ever panic attack, weakness in my legs, burning zaps thruout, brain fog, constant flu-like symptoms, weakness in my left arm, heavyness, sinus/eye pressure, weird head sensations etc etc it was a new symptom starting every day, I had so much anxiety/panic I couldn't even watch TV it was awful! Anyway its actually a blessing to get sick so early because if I would've had them in a yr or 2 & my symptoms started then I probally would've of never thought it was the implants. Guest guest
Dear Mindy, Please, please, please listen to your body! I had all of the same symptoms as you are having right after implanting. I tried to explain it away as recovering from surgery, side affects from anesthesia, etc. I trusted and listened to both my surgeon and primary care when they told me I was just recovering from surgery, the implants can not cause problems so on and so on. My primary care Dr even put me on Valium for anxiety. All of my symptoms continued and got worse and new problems came up for 18 months. I had my implants removed four weeks ago and have already started to feel a little better. I regret so much that I did not listen to my body in the very beginning and trust my gut instinct that the implants were causing my symptoms and most of all for trusting in my doctors more than myself. The best thing you can do for yourself is have them removed as soon as possible. Don't make the same mistake I did and wait to see what will happen because there is a very good chance that you will just continue to get worse. Trust in yourself, doctors WILL lie to you. Mine told me "if I had the implants removed and got better than it would just prove it was all in my head". What an idiot! The women here are so wonderful and supportive. Just know that you are not alone. We are all here for you and know exactly how you feel. There is help and support here even if you can't find it any were else. Be strong! Get healthy! I will be thinking of you. sachsrealty <sachsrealty@...> wrote: Thank you all so much for responding. I have an appointment today with the surgeon. I just received the results of my blood work from my general doctor. They tested for a complete blood count, thyroid and fasting blood sugar. Everything is normal; however, why do I feel so bad? They feel that I need to be treated for anxiety. The symptoms are not as serve when I am force to focus on a task. As if they are suppressed and when I am resting it becomes worse. I let you know what the surgeon says. I am armed with all the testimonies and FDA's reports.
