Guest guest
Mr . Daily ... It is apparent to me I grow backwards in communicating .. I remember at 24 years and fresh out of a coma from a severe knife laceration to my left arm it seemed terrible to endure the between hours of the every few hours morphine injections so that when the time came for the administration of the morphine it was the glory of the day .. One particular instance of this shot of morphine I decided inner absorption with the events and history leading to this hospitalization was overwhelming me and the way out of my inner ravings was to achieve communicating to my nurse anything but done holding an intention to bring a smile . So this is what I said " You are here ! This is my favorite time of the day , when you come with my morphine shot , and I am glad how you are here at last . " The nurse became , by the tone of her voice , curt and this is what she said : " you don ' t have to be sarcastic about it ! " . My spouse comments I can show my good taste to starkist . If a comment comes about my out pour in words I fuss that I am being denied the right for self - expression and this situation , of the misunderstood monster , like the Mel Young enstein , is one that I earmark for further working on and rehersal at another time but I literally go off the radar in terms of what is coursing through my mind , thoughts . What I mean by " scarey - lovely " is ponderous surf at a beach or the look from the edge of a cliff from a massive mountain or the sheerness of a fluid tiger . What I am attempting to convey is that love is the ultimate power , out of suffering , and through suffering and so it is gorgeous and scarey lovely . I apologize , I believe the best explanation I can give is that there lurks a timid defiance in the author , but it is all good . Accepting faltering for a start and while improving . faltering \Fal " ter*ing\, a. Hesitating; trembling. ``With faltering speech.'' --Milton. -- n. Falter; halting; hesitation. Like if I say " > Cars handle " the subject is " cars " and the verb is " handle " or > that which , at least in this instance , is what " cars " do " handle > " . As a rule of thumb , in English , you can count on most phrases > containing at least a subject and a verb which the phrase you are > asking about does . There are predicates in this phrase that you ask > about , which I suppose add a little extra . Note: Sentences are > simple or compound. A simple sentence consists of one subject and one > finite verb; as, ``The Lord reigns.'' A compound sentence contains two > or more subjects and finite verbs, as in this verse: He fills, he > bounds, connects, and equals all. --Pope. Now let us look at that > addition . A predicate , in the narrowest sense , is " That which is > affirmed or denied of the subject. In these propositions, ``Paper is > white,'' ``Ink is not white,'' whiteness is the predicate affirmed of > paper and denied of ink. " And , you guessed it , in the question > or proposition " isin ' t that scarey - lovely ? " the scarey - > loveliness would be our predicate which could be either denied or > affirmed of the subject , love {suffers} . But , hey ! , which is > it in our sentence denied or affirmed of love suffering ? And hold on > ! the pronoun is in a turnaround , bass ackwards ! What is it you are trying to communicate to (aka yourself)? Can you touch what you are resisting - if anything? As I read 's communication, I was touched that such a long-term lurker risked lengthy dialog - a second time. I too sighed as I read his post, because he is so committed to one entering his universe in order to be understood. By the end of the post, I felt like - trying to understand this man is too much work...so I just moved to the next post. I wondered if has so beautifully set himself up for rejection by using his own terminology to effectively exclude himself... Just ramblin' myself... I'm deepening my realization that everyone is equal, there is only one, and how I treat those I wish to distance myself from is how I treat fragments of my self- created personality... Healing is embracing it all without losing yourself in it. So ...I delight in your communication, but if you wish dialog, we have to be using the same lingo... Blessings - Jan
