Guest guest
, I'm in the process of setting up a group like this for the families (and children as well, assuming they are old enough) of children who were born to women after they received their breast implants. We really don't know what is going on with the children. But something is. The group will be place for families to compare notes about what is going on with their children, who/what helps, and to support each other. A number of the women on this group have children who have been affected in varying degrees. Hopefully we'll be able to figure out some things that will help. At the first support meeting I attended, I witnessed several young mothers discover, for the first time, that the unusual illnesses their children suffered from were shared by the children of other implanted women. I'll never forget the shock and horror on those young mothers faces! You would think that, after 40 years, there would be exhaustive studies to prove that breast implants don't harm children. . . In fact, there are NONE! Certainly no studies to determine why implant-affected children are ill. . . I suspect that Platimum (used as a catalyst for the implant shell) plays a huge role! The bacteria/fungus from some implants certainly doesn't benefit children either! I'm already running into some attempts to mess with my computer! . . . So I must be hitting on a nerve! Guest guest
That's GREAT Rogene! YOur stamina and offering to help. Yes I can imagine you'd be running into problems. What mtg. did you attend? In general? At a hospital near your home or what? How did you get these women together? In brief without going into anymore than you want to. And who will moderate our group? I'll miss Patty. Guest guest
, The meeting I attended was in Fort Worth at the osteopathic hospital about eleven years ago. I think Martha Murdock was the leader in the DFW area at the time. Dintino shared leadership responsibilities with her in Fort worth. Martha is one of the few women I can do without. is still very sick. She was one of the women who didn't think that alternative medicine could help! I found the meeting through an ad run in the Fort Worth paper . . . Internet wasn't used very much by many women at that time. As I understand it, a group of us are going to share moderating responsibilities with Patty gone. Hopefully Patty will be back after a rest . . . and catching up on her personal responsibilities. She will be sorely missed! She isn't going to leave us completely! There is a core group that you know well who will be moderating. . . There are really only a few things that MUST be done. The only time it becomes difficult is when someone is trying to invade the group to start problems. Trying to identify those people can be ticklish! I'm still catching up after getting home ... I hope to have the group set up by the beginning of next week though! Love, Rogene
