I cleared the second time I had treatment but reverted before the 6 month period. But I don't think it was due to the treatment but the fact I drank some vanilla cokes with mexican vanilla that contain alcohol. (Explaining myself) I didn't know at the time, that vanilla contains alcohol. There is enough in the mexican vanilla to give you a buzz. I really think that was what cause me to revert. Therefore we are always saying never drink alcohol again, after treatment. *smile* I could have had SVR if I had been more careful. On the pegasys treatment, it was a lot easier for me. I am not saying it was problem free. Hey you are taking a treatment that rids you of the virus. But the side effects were a lot better than the Peg-intron and the Rebetrol. I got tired yes, I lost my appetite yes, (not that I couldn't stand to lose a few

lbs). Mostly that from what I can remember was the worst for me, with the Pegasys. Oh yeah, I did get insomina. But I don't know if that was from the Pegasys combo. Or from the fact that I took lots of naps during the day. *big cheesy grin*. Hope this helps. Love Janetsmalk50@... wrote: Hi, I was curious as to how many folks on this forum

I thought I was pretty sick during both rounds of tx, altho many were sicker than me. I'm now 8 months out of the second tx and have cleared the virus and feel better than I have in many years. This is in part because of the elation I felt when I learned that I was still clear and in part to the change of depression meds, but my body is strong and fit again, except for the extra weight, I still have abouyt 50 lbs to lose.I have been rototilling and raking rocks outside and am NOT hurt by it and I'm 65. I recently dug up and transplanted 8 young trees and replanted them where I'd rototilled and raked, so I'm actually stronget than I've been AND have more energy than I've had for a long long time. These days are very good for me and I'm far happier than I've EVER been.Sharon in NW Washington Knitting is...time and love made tangible. Hi everyone... This treatment is a 40-60% crap shoot. With treatment your White Blood Cell count is can get very low, leaving your body open for new and pre-mature heredity diseases to kick in. Let's face it...trying to save your Liver through tx opens the door for many other problems. I weighed all these issues before starting tx. We can only hope the medical profession is not leading us into a false cure/ complete remission taking tx . If so, we are all screwed anyhow. This is a damned if you do... damned if you don't senerio...Good Luck!
