Hi. I am new here and this is my second post. I wrote previously

that I had started experiencing symptoms, and with the third CC in

less than a year, along with a low grade fever, night sweats, knee

pain, exhaustion, decided to explant. I had a consult with my PS,

who has agreed to do whatever I wish to do. Of course, he did not

attribute my symptoms to the implants, but he did offer to order

complete bloodwork on me before my surgery. He is very familiar with

the En bloc procedure, and is suggesting a full lift along with the

removal. Unfortunately, he is not sympathetic regarding the cost,

and will be charging me $4000.00 for a full removal, complete

capselectomy, and full lift. Without full lift, he will charge me

$2500.00. I have decided to go with the full lift, which was what I

was after in the first place, and am biting my tongue regarding the

price, as he is offering to submit to my insurance for me, along with

my complete medical records and a letter from him indicating the

removal is medically necessary. I am not sure if they will cover it,

but it is worth a try, I think. I am scheduled for surgery on March

17th.

Aside from the cost, he does seem very sympathetic to my situation.

He has agreed to do whatever I wish, and based on his pictures, he

seems very skilled at removal.

Just wanted to give an update, and also to ask about detoxification.

Is this necessary, and if so, what does it entail?

Thanks! :o)
