Guest guest
Beth, If it is large or suspicous looking to the doctor, they will run a needle aspiration, then send off to the labs. When my needle aspiration results came in, the results were sketchy- so I went in for a further test called a fine needle test, where the lab results were shown to have irregular cell activity, but was watched for some time. Tips to breath easy-It usually isnt cancer if ther are more than one nodule, and if it shrinks upon treatment of thyroid medication. If it doesnt shrink and actually grows, it is watched very closely. It has shrunk and I was found to have two nodules now. So no worry. Thyroid dummies is an excellent sourse for this type of info. Do you hve thyroid issues? Usually nodules are also a sign on auto immune hashimotos. Where the nodules are formed from immnue reactions to the gland itself. >From: "bethlakey" <bethlakey@...> >Reply- > >Subject: julie: thyroid >Date: Mon, 07 Mar 2005 14:22:57 -0000 > > > >Hey , >I have a nodule on my thyroid as well.
