Someone previously mentioned that he gets sick when sitting in front of his

computer monitor. I had the same problem about 5 years ago. I actually had to

get rid of my computer, for over a year, during which time, I tried out many

other computers and other non-computer electronic ways, of using the internet. I

noticed that ALL of the new computers, and electronics would make me sick,

literally the very moment that I slid them out of their box. This got me to

thinking that NEW EQUALS SICK, so I got hold of the OLDEST laptop I could find,

and my computer reaction became reasonable, but not perfect. As I have

eliminated the concurrent mold sources from my environment, and my laptop and

myself have grown older together, I find that we bother each other very

minimally.

I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS). The good news is that, as I have

eliminated most of the mold from my environment, my MCS has also become very

minor. This leads me to believe that there is a connection between mold reaction

and MCS, or that they are both aspects of the same genetic or immune system

malfunction.

In any case, click on the above link to a scientific study abstract that will

confirm that the only thing that is " in your head " is an MCS reaction to a flame

retardant chemical used in making the plastic case of your computer monitor.

You might want to follow my example, and see if you can trade in your new,

state-of-the-art computer for a crummy old laptop that has off-gassed most of

its toxic fumes by now. Or, you might try a new metal laptop, to see if the

flame retardant chemicals that are INSIDE of it, are enough to make you sick.
