Please respond if you know what I'm talking about. Help!! > Thanks-- Try to obtain concentrated hydrogen peroxide (30-35%), and a garden spray bottle. Make the weak dilution (about 3%) by adding only a few mililiters of conc. peroxide and about 200 ml of water. For added efficiency you may add some borax to this mixture. Spray your objects (porous and non-porous) with this, and try doing your laundry with this. Increase the concentration if the weakest dilution doesn't help. But be VERY cautious - hydrogen peroxide above 8% is very irritating to skin AND to clothes. I ruined some clothes by making too strong dilution. Paper items can be treated only with weak peroxide. Stonger will decompose them or even cause them to ignite and burn with fire. So be careful. And use protective gloves if you can. Peroxide is not toxic itself, but it can cause strong irritation and irreversible damage to porous objects. I don't guarantee this will work for you, but it helps me better than anything else. I noticed that many products that claim to denature trichothecene mycotoxins contain hydrogen peroxide as the main ingredient. -Branislav

I am new to this group but I " feel " your pain. We had to leave a defective home 2 1/2 years ago. What we learned from experts is that if we wanted to keep anything (I mean anything!) that was in the house it had to be professionally cleaned. We disposed of many items including mattresses and upholstered furniture. It is like living through a series of " deaths " when you learn how many of your things you must dispose of. -
Guest guest
-amazeing about the all the shocking going on, i thought i was the only one. for all long time it was a constant thing, everything i touched. now it happens off and on and in boughts. sounds like you might have MCS. you may be sensative to much more than mold/mycotoxins. so sorry you are going through this. look for a place with no carpet, only hardwood floors, seperate entrance if apartment, seperate heating and cooling system or at least a very clean one. no place with musty smelly basement. no landlord that is bug spray happy, get rid of all perfumes, smelly shampoos, etc. start washing your sinuses a few times a day, this well help a lot. ALL FREE AND CLEAR laundry deturgent, no dryer sheets, for new cloths and wash them before you wear them. for moldy cloths you might try ammonia and dawn dishwashing soap, might work. laundry instructions on back of ammonia, hold your breath while pouring it into wash cycle, ammonia smell goes away when dried, might have to wash them several times, can't garentee it will work but did for me. good luck hope this helps some -- In , " moldshan " <moldshan@...> wrote: > > My eyes & face constantly burn, my lungs bleed lightly & hurt and I > have pneumonia/bronchitis every other month. Guest guest
When I was living in a very moldy, verified mycotoin ridden environment I found that several things helped a lot. I don't know if these ideas will help you but they helped us. Get at least one, or preferably more air cleaners and run them continuously in your home. Put the best and biggest one in your children's bedroom and the next biggest one in your own bedroom. If money is really tight, you can use the MERV13 Filtrete filters on 20 inch box fans in a pinch as air cleaners. Make sure you are also getting fresh air from outside. Also if there is mold in the walls, get a window fan and put it wherever it will be able to catch the cleanest air from outside and bring it in.. (this is usually upwind) then run it at a low speed and use it to keep fresh air circulating through your home, even if that means it is cold.. This is in addition to the air cleaners. Some heaters end up sending mold into a home.. IMO, cold clean air is better than poisonous warm air... Seal up any holes in the walls you can find, that allow air from inside of wall cavities into your space, and try to maintain a slightly positive pressure in your space, compared to outside. Make sure that whenever you do something that generates lots of humidity like cook or shower that that moisture is immediately vented out.. even if its cold.. this is important! *The most important thing for your health is trying to get the cleanest air you can.* Also, wear slippers all of the time and wet mop hardwood floors frequently.. use a HEPA vaccumn frequently, with an N95 (at least) mask on and the windows open and window fan on while you vaccumn.. (because vacuuming stirs up a lot of stuff..) Use saline solution to wash out your sinuses at least two or three times a day and use plain saline eye drops to wash the gunk out of your eyes.. Take strong antioxidants (NAC, ALA, Vit C, Vit E, zinc, selenium, thiamin etc.) at least three times daily.. morning, noonish + evening.. Try to find out what molds you are mostly dealing with and research antidotes for whatever poisons they produce.. If it turns out that your new home also has a mold problem, and you can't eliminate the sources of the mold by eliminating the moisture, (get a relative humidity meter and get familiar with your homes RH situations..) you may need to move again until you are in a safe place.. > > > > My eyes & face constantly burn, my lungs bleed lightly & hurt and I > > have pneumonia/bronchitis every other month. Guest guest
....I've read that cleaning with ammonia and for papers spritzing with ammonia is may work but wear mask. This is what a toxicologist I talked to recommended.
