B.,

Regarding the procrit trial did the mention whether you have to pay

an office visit each time you go to the office for th eprocrit

(every three days?)? Also did they mention if it was a blind trial

or not...is everyone going to receive the procrit or will some be

palcebos?

Hope all is going well with your move? Where in Texas are you? My

sister in law is in Amarillo.

the house that we believe has been contributing to my ongoing

illness. I'm hoping to move within a week. At that time, I've

first got to verify that the new place is safe by going off the CSM

for two weeks (after I've been there for 2 wks to allow residual

toxins to get removed). So, my plan is to move into the new house

with minimal stuff - all new (except for my kids and pets :).

Although, at this point, I'm debating whether I should move alone

first and then gradually introduce kids and pets. The kids part,

though, I think I have to do all at the same time, since they are

both impacted by the toxins. We may end up with a tent in the

backyard for them to do homework since their school books and

backpacks have been in the old house. Fortunately, we live in

Texas, so that's not quite as bad as it sounds. Also, it's been

recommended that I stay on the CSM twice a day after that 2 week

period since mold is so u

My understanding is that it's not a blind trial. I am participating remotely (I

apparently signed up early enough, as I have a friend that will have to travel

to Pocomoke to participate). So, I plan on using my company nurse to do the

injections. I would think if there was a charge for the injections it would be

nominal since the nurse can do it .

I'm planning on moving this weekend - I'll let you all know how it goes. I'm

fortunate in that I can do things in stages - starting with new, bare bones

stuff until I'm sure I'm not reacting.

, could you share how you became a part of the trial? Did you

contact Dr. Shoemaker's office or did they contact you? The reason I

ask is that he had indicated to me that my family would be included,

but possibly he changed his mind on that.

Thanks,

That's good that it is not a blind trial. I was wondering how the

participants are chosen and what variables they are using...

The only variable I know for sure is that you need to have a C4A that is

elevated. I'm sure also that there would be a minimum time required on the CSM

and addressing other problems (such as MRSA nasal infection) before the procrit

would be appropriate. I do have alot of the other things abnormal as well

(VEGF, MSH, VIP etc.), so those may also be a factor.
