This would be a death sentence to thousands if their antirejection meds are not covered by Medicare/Medicaid anymore.

I don't think people realize that the private insurance sector will shortly follow the guidelines set by the gov. with Medicare/Medicaid changes and also use these guidelines to disallow and not cover these changes also. There not going to spend the money for these claims when the federal gov. doesn't.

This would mean All medical insured patients and this My Friend's is All Of Us !!!!!!!

It's all financial and we are the pawns who pay the high premiums.

I don't see how legally they could not cover or stop coverage on a life saving drug after they have approved and paid for transplants and the patients are now post transplant and still under medical care for the remainder of their lives and dependent on their antirejection meds to survive.

What happened to - Continuity Of Patient Care and No Breaks In Care and Our Patient's Rights !!!!!

What will happen to thousands upon thousands of people that need life saving transplants and antirejection drugs in the future to save their lives ????

Sorry -- it's not covered anymore go home and die.

Liz, is it clear yet what gov. is considering and calling outpatient settings for dx's, antirejection meds and patients treatments that will not be covered ???

What about inpatients and their coverage and thousands that receive antirejection drugs by Rx from their private Dr's that are already post transplant - is this considered outpatient care ????

Probably no one knows for sure at this point even the Federal Government !!!!!!!!!!!!

And A Happy New Year from Our Own Government !!!!!
