Happy New Year - and this is another story!

Part of me also wants to laugh. For years I lay in bed feeling worse

than I could have imagined, refusing to die. Sometimes I laughed

then, too. Having been raped again by my father, and given my best

shot to change my circumstances, and failed, I laughed then,

uproariously. My brother worked with a guy who got his hand caught in

a machine and lost 4 fingers. He walked along, holding the bleeding

remains of his hand in front of his face, laughing his head off. I

guess some folks may confuse this with LWI. Actually it's an

emergency disassociation to get us thru. As a way of life, it really

doesn't work well. I've spent decades inviting my disassociated

consciousness back into my body/self, still have some that don't want

to come, and would rather stay outside and laugh. Thanks for
