As someone who gives her kids raw milk, I am much more worried about whatever

germ

factory they may enter whenever using a public restroom. OF COURSE raw milk has

bacteria. My understanding is that farmers test and ensure the count isn't above

a certain

amount that would be unsafe.

BTW, should we be recommending to moms that they 'pump and boil' with mastitis?

I am

assuming it is the same bacterial cause in humans, and I have never seen any

information

that it is unsafe -- because it isn't.

Sorry for the rant, I just wish there had been a way to post it as a response to

hope anyone looking into whether or not raw milk is right for them will read

I noticed today that organic valley carries an ultra-pasteruized...not

sure how long they have been doing that but I remember someone on this

board predicting that to happen because of the listeria outbreak last

year...

They have been ultrapasteurizing their cream for several years which is why I

don't ever buy it.
