I rarely chime in on this group, but I would not recomend Galactic

Pizza for delivery- eveyr time I order I get all excited to eat this

local pizza, ooh what a treat, and it arrives and tastes like

cardboard. Maybe local cardboard, but its still not yummy!

We used to get Galactic or Pizza Luce pizzas when we lived in Uptown.

Choices for good pizza are more limited now that we live in New

Brighton. We like it when the Good Earth has pizzas on their menu.

Usually it's a seasonal one in the summer with heirloom tomatoes on

it. Amazing.

Also, there is a little tiny family pizza shop that even makes their

own sausage called Ronnally's in Shoreview. Resonably priced and he

uses real ingredients. Not organic, not very local, but very delicious

and I'd rather support a place that does things from scratch and is

owned and opperated by a local man than a big chain.

For excellent new york style pizza visit Pino's Pizza in Woodbury. It

is my favorite new york style here in MN, I drive 45 minutes one way

to get it, would drive further if need be. I think he has one in

downtown Mpls as well, but those are the only two. He's from italy and

he knows what makes a good crust, good sauce and good ingredients. I

doubt he's organic or buys local but he is a small business and you

can't beat his pies. The only thing is that he recently hired his

nephew I believe who does not know how to make a pizza crust. But as

long as Papa Pino is on site you can excpect a phenomenal pizza.

Also if you order carry out or delivery you must put the pizza back in

the oven at 375 for a few minutes when it gets to your house,

otherwise the crust will be soggy and everything that's good about the

pizza is lost.

Mmm I wish I could make as good a pizza from scratch at home. Mine

aren't bad but nothing like Pino's!

Happy Eating!
