Dear Natalia,On behalf of all our members, welcome to our Erythema Nodosum Group! Thanks for sending in your Questionnaire. I have added your information to our "Member Medical History" Files on the Group site and posted it below. You now have Full EN Group privileges. You are receiving ALL EN Group emails, and you can also go to the Erythema Nodosum Group Site :http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/erythema_nodosum_Group/ whenever you like and logging on with your Yahoo ID and secret password. You do not have to have the group emails delivered to be a member here.I am not familiar with the homeopathic remedies you are taking, but am interested to see how well they work for you. Be aware that often the first EN bout is the most severe, and that flares may last longer or shorter than others even without medications. Since strep is the trigger for you, the usual treatment would be antibiotics, but if homeopathy works as well that is wonderful. I am guessing you did not take the antibiotics long enough to knock out the strep. I recall one EN Group Member took antibiotics for a year and went into long term EN remission, but this treatment is anecdotal and not a researched. You may be our first member from Spain, so a Special Welcome to our Friendy Group!Love,*******1. Your name and age: Natalia Serena, 372. Your location: Barcelona, Spain3. Your email address:ailatanirriguible@... 4. Your Yahoo ID:ailatanirriguible@... 5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group.

A month ago, June the 23rd, I had a a streap-throat with fever and

puss. I treated immediately with amoxiciline 1 gr./ 8 hours for 14 days

but one week after the strep-throat it started to apper these red hot

welts or protuberancies in my lower legs some as big as golf balls,

8-9 of them in my left leg and 3-4 in the right leg. I was

immediately diagnosed Erithema Nodosum because I had it last year in

summer for the first time, preceeded by a strep-throat too. In these

moment the inflammation is decreasing and I am feeling much better.

Last year it was much worst and I was very ill for 2 months.6. List any other health conditions. Appart from being tired I feel a little cold and my left ankel hurts.7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their effectiveness:

The reumathologist gave me Naproxeno, 500 mg twice a day and I have

been taking it for 3 weeks ( I was prescribed Inacid first but cause me

strong head aches). The reumathologist also prescribe me corticoids but

I refused taking them. I am taking Omeprazol 40 mg first thing in the

morning after my homeophathy. I phoned my homeophaic doctor

and he prescribed me immediately to take Ledum Palustre 7CH. After he

visited my he has prescribed me for the EN symphtoms, and I am taking 4

times a day before meals: Phosphorus 7CH Apis Mellifica 30 CH Belladona !5 CH Ignatia Amara 9 CH Hamamelis Virginiana 5 CH Last week I was feeling like I was catgching a cold and I am taking Allium Cepa 7CH and Belladona 7 CH

I started feeling a sore in my left ankel this week and to prevent

arthritis there I am taking Bryonia 7CH and Ledum Palustre 7 CH

(prescribed by the Homeophaty Dr. I also visited the the

reumathologist Dr. for this pain and she mentioned that it could be a

tendinitis due to go bare-foot so I will be waring "medium" high-heels

for two weeks before I make a ecography to it. I firmly

think that both Homeophathy pills are helping me getting rid of the

desease faster than last year. I only was treated with homeophathy last

year after two months of Ibuprofen 3 times a day I almost got depressed

so that's why I started with Homeophaty treatment then. I also think that Naproxeno has helped me with the

inflammation and the bed rest too, well sofa rest because I have been

able to move much more this time than last year. 8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG?I first got EN last year, August 2005. So this is my 2nd time. 9. How long have you had erythema nodosum or PG? Last year EN took me 2 months of pain and 4 months more to recover completly form it. This time EN has appeared on the 30 june 2006 and I am still with some symthoms. 10. Do you agree to treat all EN members with respect?
