First set of results with Dr.

Hi everyone,

I had my first appointment with Dr. R on the 10th. My follow up is on the 29th (next Tuesday). I asked his office to fax me a copy of the lab results. I'm new to this, so I tried to pick out what I thought were the important ones:

Ferritin - 13 (range 10-220)

Iron Binding Capacity and Iron and % SaturationIron, Serum - 88 (range 35-145)Unsaturated IBC - 329 (range 155-300)**out of rangeCalculated Total IBC - 417 (range 250-450)Calculated % Iron Sat - 21% (range 20-50)

Free T4 (thyroxine) - 1.05 (range 0.73-1.95)

TSH - 2.0 (range 0.3-5.1)

Free T3 - 3.3 (range 2.3-4.2)

Vitamin B12 - 376 (range 250-1100)

Cortisol, AM Specimen - 12 (range 7-25)

DHEA Sulfate - 90 (range 35-430)

Testosterone - 48 (range 14-76 for female)

I am anxious for my appointment on Tuesday. I am very interested in hearing what Dr. R has to say. I was not expecting abnormal results in the iron test. Not sure what to think of others listed, it's still "Greek" to me!
