Guest guest
Hi, Neighbor! We almost rented in Leander, but Round Rock is a little closer to my sister's job, lol! Still trying to get used to the area, but like it a whole lot better than eastern North Carolina!! I have only had one appt with this Endo. His name is " " Tay and he is with the Austin Diagnostic Clinic (I saw him at his 2nd office on Old Settlers Blvd in RR instead of having to drive down into Austin!). He seems knowledgeable enough, but kind of brushes you off with any questions you may have. He said that my thyroid was quite swollen and lumpy, and asked if I had ever had an FNA on any of the nodules. But, when he said my labs came back " normal " and to come back in three months, I guess he must not have thought anymore about the FNA. He did spend about an hour with me, but I was really disappointed in the long run. (No closer to knowing what is going on with my body, other than untreated Hashi's!!) The ENT is Dr. Ratcliff with Austin ENT (also has an office in RR). He also seemed quite knowledgeable. He wants to get my old records from NC, and he wants to do another scope of my vocals on April 7 for comparison. He was quite concerned about the bulging area on my left vocal cord, and said in all honesty that it could rupture without warning. He was also the one that ordered the thyroid ultrasound. When the tech was doing the U/S, I asked her about what the doctor had said, and she concurred. She ran the U/S over my vocal cord/voice box area to show me that it just looks like a black empty space! I never thought about an MRI, but I will ask him when I go back in April. Do you have a good doc?? Barbara > > Hi Barbara, > I live in Leander which is very close to Round Rock. I sure am curious > to know what Endo you are seeing? Guest guest
I have lovely photos of my (then burned by stomach acid) vocal cords from an endoscopy, done by my gastroenterologist.
