This is why forms of meditation which ask you to focus on the breath do not take you very far. Sure they generate some short lived feelings of peace, but they avoid dealing with our core concepts which are the real cause of our suffering. " Right on! As for the energy body thing, I proved it to the only person whose opinion I really care about - it's a useful working hypothesis until my experiment of living throws up a new one. Very interesting post, Tima, thanks - I see you're no longer stupid, are you still a saint? cheers, Tim
Guest guest
Hey Tim, I guess " stupid " and " saint " are two stories I could work on, eh? Love, Tima

Repeat a mantra, or concentrate on the breathing for long enough and hey presto your there. However, as you note such practices really don't end our suffering. When we leave the ashram or come down from the mountain top, and someone says something which disagrees with our story, well you just want to kill them. LOL ... The beauty of the Work is that really does end my suffering. When it is alive in you there just aren't any more obnoxious people. Its not that the people are any different, its just that I believe a truer, clearer story about them. Hey they could be nailing me to a cross, and I would be wondering why an angel was so confused as to believe that I needed to be crucified! And for a less extreme example, the Work really heals all my health and financial " problems " . As I undo the lies I have been believing about my body and the bodies of others, I get to see the beauty in every body, even those bodies which are deformed or damaged by " worldly " standards. Money is no longer a " problem " because whatever money I have is the perfect amount, unless I am believing a story that I should have more or less. Truly for me the Work is the fast track to the end of suffering in all its forms. Meditation and other forms of consciousness raising provide only a temporary relief, because they fail to undo the confused thinking which is the cause of all suffering. The confused thinking just floats around unnoticed until someone disagrees with our stories, then all hell breaks lose. But I already said that above, oh well I must be getting old I am starting to repeat myself. LOL ... Just some thoughts Loving what is, precious, and that would be you.
