Guest guest
Dear Ellen,On behalf of all our members, welcome to our Erythema Nodosum Group! Thanks for sending in your Questionnaire. I have added your information to our "Member Medical History" Files on the Group site and posted it below. You now have Full EN Group privileges. You are set to receive ALL EN Group emails and you may also visit theErythema Nodosum Group Site: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/erythema_nodosum_Group/ whenever you like by logging on with your Yahoo ID and secret password. You do not have to have the group emails delivered to be a member here. While it may seem like stress caused your EN, and many [including myself] have had flare ups associated with times of extra stress, EN has about 100 known causes and stress can weaken our immune system to where the actual EN triggering agent affects us. I'm sorry you have to deal with EN when you are relocating. Please try to get as much rest as you can with your legs elevated. You have come to the right place to learn about EN.Welcome to our friendly Group!Love,Idiopathic EN 1968********Ellen Levine's Case History10/14/061. Your name and age: Ellen Levine, 452. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, ifyou do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wishto join this group: I recently moved to Australia, and within a week after my arrival, I noticed afew red bruises on my thighs and shins, which I dismissed as inconsequential.Shortly thereafter, I noticed a small red dotty rash on my shins and thighs. This progressed to raised red, painful, itchy lumps and more bruises all over mylegs. About a week later, my arms started to itch as well, but not with thesame symptoms – just itchy. The doctor here took one look at my legs and immediately diagnosed the condition as EN and prescribed blood tests, which turned out to be negative. In its third week, the condition was slowly and seemingly progressively getting better, however, this morning I awoke with a flare-up. I'd like to learn more about this skin disorder and how I can attemptto control it. I believe that my condition could very well be stress-related.6. List any other health conditions. N/A7.
