I think that the fact that Simon has so many allergies is a clue to why he has come down with EN. EN is a hypersensitivity reaction and if we can determine what specifically is causing this reaction we have hopes to getting the EN to go into remission. It's awful to watch a child you love suffer, and I hope we can help to find a way to let Simon get better. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group.My best friend of over 25 years has a 7 year old son (as close as a nephew to me) who has just been diagnosed in July with EN, I wish to better understand it in an effort to support her and him in dealing with this.6. List any other health conditions.Severe allergies, food as well as environmental factors. At the age of 3 he had all of his upper baby teeth removed, at 7 the permanent teeth have not as yet surfaced...no formal Dx given.7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their effectiveness:At present Simon is taking liquid multi-vitamins with an increased (200iu) of iron, in hopes of increasing his appetite. He also drinks 425 ml of 'Boost' per day to help increase his body mass, at the age of 7 (as of December 25 2006) he weighs 42.5 lbs, but in July his weight had decreased to 38 lbs.8. I read back a few pages on the message boards and came across a post referring those dealing with EN to this message board. I have since applied for membership to this group after registering with Yahoo.
