Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Since its Free Day and I'm on my fifth piece of the yummy banana cake that I made this morning, thought I would peek out from behind the computer screen and introduce myself. I bought the Body For Life book after skimming through it at the library.I just thought Wow! Iv'e never really had too much problem with my weight, even after 4 kids, my youngest is 10, I always somehow managed to get back into pre-pregnant shape. Breastfeeding is a wonderful time when you can eat pkts and pkts of chocolate biscuits and all those calories just get converted into babies milk for the next year or 2, (sorry to all the guys here for the visual lol). Anyway after complacently reaching 42, I looked down a couple of months ago and saw.... Eeeek! What the hell is that??? Now I dunno if its a peri-menopause thing or what but theres definitely some stuff collecting there that weren't there before! I like to blame addictive online computer games like Diablo2 for keeping us SAHM's sitting on our bootys in between chores hehe. Well at 5ft 5 and normally weighing around 117 pounds I was not impressed. I know it seems pathetic but honestly ya shape changes when there's extra bits in the wrong places lol. Also Iv'e never trained with weights before but had heard of the benefits . Soooooo.....here I am. I'm half way through C1 and have gone from 126 pounds down to 122, which is kinda weird cuz the 4 pound loss was after the first 2 weeks and it's stayed there ever since. *pouts* I know it was probably initial water loss but I still got excited... as we do. ) I also decided I would read all the posts on this Board when I joined, starting from the very first one and it's taken me till now to get to here phew!...8 weeks...boy you guys can sure talk! ) From Angelo and , through NHE and rezoom, learn't a lot about jeeps, made Andyman's first lot of protein bars with honey..(.Andy that was naughty btw... they are very moreish.. when ya eat them ya just want more!..hmmm I see you've changed the recipe). Just as well ya don't live next door, I'd always be in your kitchen lol. Lana and MP you have my utmost admiration. I brag about you two to my friends ...hope ya don't mind your strength is amazing. I aint even gonna tell you what my dumbbells weigh. Don't want ya ROFLYAO hehe. Sara...List Angel... I'm so glad you are still here and still posting ). You have been my inspiration. Thanks for posting that pic of your first trainer...I sorta look a bit like her before pic. I'm glad your brothers doing well too. Matt and Brett you are both too funny... love reading your posts! Wayne love your funny stories too. Jen B List Mommy... or as we would say down here in New Zealand, List Mummy. You do such a good job looking after this brood and keeping everyones diets in order. Plus I learn't to do the happy dance from you ) ...wish you would come back... for all the macro and micro analyzing... your like an enormous fitness encyclopedia. Terri, fellow kiwis and Sue...where are you guys? Bill and Leigh and all the regular posters a big thankyou for accompanying me half way through this challenge. All your insights have kept me totally focused enough to stick with it. I knew when I was sore after weights.. that would happen.. when I was so zonked out after the first week I took cat naps and my kids pointed and laughed.. I knew that would happen...when the weight loss stalled...knew that would happen. I knew cuz this group told me so and there was no need to fret...thank goodness for this the best, the cream...full cream too hehe... of all the BFL groups! ) Hugs to all, Cat c1w6d7
