Thank you and steve for the e card it cheered me up no ends, as I missed all of christamas day as I was in surgery on christmas day for six hours as you know a year ago I had a strangalated hernia and they operated and put it all back where it should have been and meshed it, well on christmas eve I was feeling very unwell was vomiting like a fountain and my hubby took me into hospital not only had the majority of my bowel got through the mesh but my bowels we compleately chock o block and my stomach was full to bursting point they had to put a tube down my nose which was not very nice and get rid of all the food which was

clogging it so that no more would go into my bowel then I was taken to surgery they said it was a very tough op as the bowel did not want to go back in , they have warned now if it happenes again I will most probably have to have a stomer put in to rest the bowel, I have to take things very easy and make sure I dont lift anything. The last op I got over quite quickly but I am finding this time I am as weak as a kitten and very tearfull I think this time was much more serious and has shook me up a bit, have got to go back in a fortnight to make sure my bowel is running as it should. When I was in I had a flare up of en and although

I was not feeling too good I had some students come to my bed to ask me about my en the surgeon had asked me as he has seen very few people with en and the students had never heard of it and as people with crohns get it sometimes and patients with other bowel disease he was keen for them to see it so when they are practicing medicine they would know what it looked like and how it effects some people so I did do some good for en If those students see it now they will know what it is and will know the symtoms , sorry for going on for so long hope everyone else has had a better christmas than I have and a happy new
