Guest guest
I just wanted to share a quick story with what happened today. I started BFL on March 1st. By June my progress was fantastic. From June until now there was very little progress as far as measurements is concerned and I also put on about four lbs. This was very discouraging if I let it bother me. I asked myself if I am a better person than on 3/1. The answer was a definite yes. I continued, and even though the success was not like the beginning, I know I was getting stronger and I was able to jog further than at any time before. My blood test last week was the icing on the cake. To get to why I wrote. I always loved basketball. Six years ago I said to myself I was going to join the 35 and over league. I knew I could not make it up and down the court. Well, this morning I took the plunge. I was finally playing with a bunch of old guys and I had the stamina to keep up. I was shocked that I was able to play decently considering I have not played competively in 20 years. This BFl thing really changed my life. I am finally doing the things I always talked about. It is a good feeling. My legs are sore but I`ll get over it. You would be surprised at the number of men in their 40`s and 50`s who still are very active. I decided I want to be one of them. So if your progress is slow. Take a step back and look at the big picture. You know you are better off now. When we stay in our own heads it can be devastating. That is why I read this group every day. Very Grateful in NJ Jay
