We all do. I have had chronic EN for 38 yrs. now, and what helps me the most is rest including bedrest and compression stockings or elastic bandages. I have learned that being on my feet is the worse thing for me when I am having a bout of EN. I'm having a flare up now too. I'm glad you found our Friendly Group. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms: EN – red, sore bumps, swelling in lower legs (the usual). Comes and goes as it pleases – seems to act up whenever I re-start or increase exercise. I've been tested for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus – all negative, recently had sonogram to check circulation in affected leg – no problems. This most recent flare up has lasted weeks, and isn't getting better. I cannot wear sneakers – or any kind of shoe that goes over the top of my foot – it makes it worse. Was not able to walk for exercise as usual this weekend bc of the pain in my foot. 6. List any other health conditions. none7.
