It depends on how long you two lived together and which state you lived in. If you have what the state would call a common law marriage then he will definitely have some financial obligations to you. He might even owe you palimony depending on the details of your relationship. IE if you helped support him while he was in college or beginning his career. Time to see a good family law attorney.
