You high heart rate is the only thing I saw that is consider to be

hyper. Well it isn't always. I personally have never been hyper but had

the heart racing. It was for me adrenals. There are several others on

this board and others who have had a racing heart, it does come with hypo

as well as hyper or hypo/adrenal. But doctors miss it.

You are so right. The symptoms overlap

greatly!!! It really helps to have a great doctor sort it out for you.

Exactly!!! I'm finding ALL of this to be about as

clear as mud!!!

I have Hypo AND Hyper symptoms..

I even have some of the Adrenal issues..

AHHH.. Enough to make me pull what remaining hair I have out!!!

I do thank you for all of your advice.. and I believe that to be on

the safe side, I need to have my Adrenals tested as well...

If you have adrenal problems, then that is probably why you have the heart

racing. Is that the ONLY hyper symptom you have? If so, then it is

probably adrenal and you would then be hypo/adrenal. That's what I am. I

think having it tested is a great choice.

You sound hypo. My IBS cleared up very

quickly after starting Armour. I had GERD so bad that I essentially slept

sitting up. I was so bloated. I could not think straight, etc, etc.

Here is

a list of hypo symptoms (obviously not every single one is on the list): Low

thyroid symptoms:

fatigue, weight gain, low

motivation and ambition, heat and/or cold intolerance, headaches and migraines,

dry skin and hair, irritability, anxiety and panic attacks, hair loss, fluid

retention, depression, decreased memory and concentration, unhealthy nails,

brittle nails, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, low sex drive, insomnia,

hives, asthma, allergies, slow healing, acne, or carpal tunnel syndrome, female

problems (tumors, fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, PMS, cramps,

(dysmenorrhea), amenorrhea, female cancers, spontaneous abortion, cyclic

seizures, dry vagina and infertility), weight problems (usually high, sometimes

low), gallbladder disease (six times higher in women with excess estrogen or on

birth control pills or ERT), heart disease, cancer, colon problems, low blood

sugar, attention deficit disorder (ADD), adrenal exhaustion from excess

secretion of adrenaline, and osteoporosis (from excess estrogen leading to

excess adrenaline and then to excess cortisol), tinnitis, vertigo, muscle cramps,

arthritis, gout, kidney stones, sleep apnea, irritable bladder, high

cholesterol, and costochondritis

Re: New Member - Dr Appt Friday

Where do I start with symptoms..

the heart racing/pounding is the one that bothers me the most..

My mind races, also.. I would say I border on having panic attacks

because of it.

I have no stress in my life, so no reason to have these issues..

I laughed when I read that someone mentioned not wearing t-shirts.. I

have to wear v-necks, or wide necks, otherwise, I feel choked.

I wear tank tops in the winter.. and even less in the summer..

I went from about 97 pounds.. to 137 within 1-2 years, with no change

in diet/exercise.. and no matter what I do, I cannot get below 135. I

peaked at 148.. I refused to hit 150, and went on Weight Watchers..

Constant headaches..

Hair Loss.. Oh where did it go?? I had the thickest hair.. and now I

have to style it so my scalp doesn't show..

Ringing in the ears.. to the point that I ask other people if they

can hear it.. (Yeah, they think I'm nuts)

Sweaty - refer to tank top comments... I've had to upgrade deodorant

to the heavy duty stuff

Memory loss/spelling issues.. I can't remember words.. I ask my honey

if he wants some tomatoes with me, when I mean strawberries.. I can't

remember the word cauliflower and call it " the white stuff " ... I just

blank out completely..

Exhausted.. no sex drive..

and I go back and forth with bowel issues.. I haven't been diagnosed

IBS, but I have all those symptoms as well.

Oh and GERD.. I have a nexium prescription for that..

I've been treated off and on for several years for adult acne..

It seems like everything I've gone to the dr for in the past several

years, could have come from my thyroid...

Some of this sounds like menopause, or perimeno... how old are you? Martiheadhunter9561 wrote: Where do I start with symptoms.. the heart racing/pounding is the one that bothers me the most.. I read once that some women can be perimeno for up to 13 years before actual menopause begins. I’m in my early 40’s. I was

having hot flashes in the middle of the night. Dr R said that they might

resolve once I got to a decent level of Armour. He essentially said that when

one of your hormones is out of balance the others can follow. They did resolve

fairly quickly after starting Armour.

I'm 37 and have been in artificial menopause three times, so I know what it feels like. I have terrible hot flashes now. I believe it is my post-menopausal leves of progesterone or possibly my elevated estrogen. Or, being hypoT. Who knows which?! I also sweat sometimes just from emptying the dishwasher. I am hoping this will go away with armour increases. I also did this after my son was born for about 6 months.
