Guest guest
from Dale, Mom to Katy, age 15, CVID Ursula, Katy used to get huge swollen lymph nodes in her neck -- she looked like a football player most of the time. Now, they have shrunk also. From what I've read -- both extremes are anticipated with CVID. At her yearly, they always feel around and comment on how much they've shrunk. Katy passed her permit test -- but she's not allowed to drive until she spends 2 hours behind the wheel with the Driving School and we can't find time until mid-August. She's not terribly disappointed. Too many things scheduled for the summer anyway. Today was sad as she said goodbye to 27 of her friends from church who were going on a mission trip to do constuction and teach Bible school for a week. Her doctors said " absolutely not " to her going. So, she went like the trooper she is and helped them load the vans and waved goodbye to everyone. There ought to be awards for our kids for their daily struggles! Our prayers continue to be with Autumn as recuperates -- we praise God for the good report of safety during surgery. Sorry that the GERD looks worse, hopefully you can avoid another surgery. Sandy, that was a close one with Adam. We'll continue to pray that the vomiting can be diagnosed and something be done with the tube infection. , are you still planning on California for the summer? I know you've been ill. Let us know when you're ready for a home-cooked meal. We're going to attend our first IDF picnic on Saturday. Should be interesting, but it's all adults. Katy will be the only " kid " who's got PID. There will be kids of patients, though. - I know this Sunday will be hard for you, losing your Dad so recently. I hope your family has something planned so you can all be together and not suffer alone. In His service, Dale
