Hi CJ,

Nice to have you join in. 7th week...over half way there! How is it going

so far for you? I am on C2 but it has been six months since I worked out

before now. I let myself get worse off than I was before starting the first

challenge. :-P So in a way I feel like I am starting another first

challenge. Glad you have joined us.

I hope your week has gone better than mine! I am hanging in, working

out, eating clean but had NO progress this week. I have

felt 'puffy' all week and don't know what could be doing it. My

rings have been tighter so it's all over. It't PMS or TOM so can't

blame the usual suspects :o

I had a good wk 5 (lost 5 " ) (this was end of wk 6) so am going to

review that wks diet and possibly eat that wks food again to see if

the lack of progress is food related.

I did skip meals this wk 'cause of chaos but haven't been bad

otherwise. (I'm betting your sorry you asked me ;-)

Did you have a higher than normal sodium intake last week?

Thanks, Todd :-)

I don't think the sodium was higher than previous wks. I am trying

to use a little salt as possible, which is almost none in the foods

we cook. What I wonder about is the sodium content of dairy

products.

I had a baked potato twice last wk, actually only half / serving.

We also had pasta for one meal. I am keeping the portions small and

it was ww pasta... Those were the only 'new' foods I think I had

last wk.

Oh! I did have choc shakes more than I normally do. I have been

using Atkin's shakes because the protein is 20g. They are low carb,

so have to add a carb food. I am trying EAS quick stir this week.

Carbs are 25g / protein is 21g...

IF you do get more sodium in your diet, and are drinking so much

water already, how do you get rid of it? Dumb question perhaps but

sometimes I feel over-saturated with water already :o

Hi CJ,

Welcome to the group! Sounds like you and your husband are really

determined to reach your goals. With positive attitudes like that,

you are certain to be successful! Keep us updated on your progress,

and feel free to ask as many questions as you like. There are a ton

of knowledgeable, supportive people on this group. :)

Darlene- a couple things I can think of- an increase in sodium

will cause " puffiness, " as will not drinking enough water.

Hang in there- sometimes we all plateau- other times it seems

we take a step back, but all the while things ARE moving forward.

Thanks, Matt :-) I know, sodium / not enough water are usually to

blame :o so just need to be on the look out for that sodium ..

thanks for the support :)
