Guest guest
Dear M, sorry you are going through all this problem with your thyroid, but I'm impressed that you are right on top of it! That is a terrific link you sent, and I'll add it to our Thyroid Links. I'm very interested in the thyroid issue as I am subclinical hypothyroid myself. I think it is just a matter of time before I have to start thyroid meds, but I am hoping I can improve by taking the coconut oil which is recommended for a sluggish thyroid. If you take your basal temp. each AM before you get out of bed, you can see if your thyroid seems underactive. http://www.thyroid-info.com/articles/shames-basaltemp.htm Definatly bug the dr. to run the " thyroid cascade " so you have the T-3 and T-4 values. Yes, I too agree that idiopathic is only a statement that says the trigger hasn't been discovered YET. It is more a statemnt of how hard it is to find what's wrong rather than that " nothing else is going on " , at least to me. Take care, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the tests show your thyroid is well! Shins up! Love,
