E {:-}Greetings: I thought I would take a minute and answer your

question. When it comes to suggesting or not suggesting physicians on

this list a concern was expressed in the last couple of years about

commenting on the quality of one doctor over the other.

Let me explain if I recommend Doctor " A " over Doctor " B " and Doctor " B "

were to find out the people that own this list which used to be Ken

Turbin could be sued for either slander or libel. The current

moderators simply don't want to take the chance. If we were sued we

couldn't defend ourselves and we would have to abandon the list. None

of us has any money other than what we need to live on.

I'm a little puzzled by this. Have we reached the place in this society

where I can be sued for stating my preference for one doctor over another in

public? I understand the point of list rules, and I'm not disputing that, I

just wonder how one person on the list saying they were happy with Dr.

" " in Phoenix could possibly be called slander, much less the list

owner being libel for the poster's opinion.
