e and gang...I cant say enough about the conferences. I attended my first in 1998 when I was an (old) 32. At this time I had lived with JRA 27 years and was literally all alone. I never had met another young person until this time. The Conference changed my life tenfold!!! This is how and why I started FACES. I would highly recommend everyone go. I can promise you, you would not regret it. I have made a conference every year and intend to be in Minneapolis this year where I hope to meet many of you. The conference is a positive event for everyone!!! Hope to see y'all there..

Donna,

As for our family, at least Abbie and I will be there. I would love to meet as many of you as possible. I guess there are some good things about living in South Dakota after all. (Its proximity to Minneapolis. lol)

Read the book on Excitoxins as well as the other books on natural approaches

to dealing with seizures. There are MANY food triggers..... SUGAR and

Nutrasweet are high on the list. Chocolate candy includes sugar.

The thing with the MLM Sunrider foods is that they are full of antioxidants

and minerals. Another approach is to eat a lot of leafy greens as well as

other veggies (but not potatoes) and take a good mineral supplement with all the

trace minerals. $10.00 for a month's supply at Sam's Club and Costco.

Hi-I hope its ok if I read and dont talk much. I am touched by your stories

and trying to help each other.

I want to know about the book on excitotoxins.

Where can I find it?

I dont have seizures, but I know people who do. I feel helpless to help, so

if I can learn something here from you, maybe I can pass it on.

Thank you,

Donna

Donna,

I would like to know the answer to that as well, but I'm just writing you

to let you know that I am so happy to find someone who wants to learn all

they can about seizures to be able to help others. Most people, if it

doesn't concern them, don't want to bother or even care to find out about

the disorder. That is a very nice thing to do. God Bless You!

The Secret of Christmas

It's not the glow you feel when snow appears,

It's not the Christmas card you've sent for years,

Not the joyful sound when sleigh bells ring,

Or the merry songs children sing.

The little things you do on Christmas Day

Will not bring back the friend you've turned away.

So may I suggest the secret of Christmas

Is not the things you do at Christmas time,

But the little things you do all year through.

Right on. There is also Rogaine. But those are both very expensive methods. The most economic way to go is to take Biotin. It's a Protein derivitive or something and it's sold at healthfood stores but you can buy it at the vitamin section at Target much cheaper, like 60 or 100 tabs for 2 or 3 bucks instead of 13 bucks on up at a healthfood store and believe me - there is NO DIFFERENCE. I've been going through this for 2 years. And even longer with other friends and clients. Just wanted to let you know that you do have options. Nioxin is wonderful. It is shampoo/conditioner and other hair treatments with other ingredients in them that stimulate hair growth by removing dead skin cells at the scalp. What Biotin does is stimulate hair growth at the root. There are several roots in each follicle and those are what you need to stimulate to grow. Actually, you would do the very best to use the biotin in combination with

the Nioxin if you could afford it. Again, rogaine is good, but I can't speak on it because I haven't investigated it. In college all I studied was protien products, Biotin, gelatin, keratin - all of those are good for your hair and nails too! But just for growth. You DO need to keep you scalp clean and that is where Nioxin comes in.Okay. A quick biology lesson. Ivy

NIOXIN shampoo and hair products are what many swear by for hair loss! Good luck ;-)
