I also take Nuerontin for the nerve pain, sciatica in my left leg, have

taken it since my last surgery in November 2003, I have heard, just from

another friend who used to take it that it causes problems with weight gain.

Has anyone else found this to be true or know of any information pointing to

this to be a fact? I am afraid to stop taking it. The nerve pain is much

less severe than without it, and that kind of pain is a nightmare I can't

stand to delve back into again.

Hugs,

I take 600mg of Neurontin every 6 hours

which usually falls on a 10-4-10-4 schedule. The Neurontin wears off about

every 5 hours so the pain also wakes me up. I take the Neurontin for the

neuropathy pain in my upper legs. Neurontin has been prescribed for all

kinds of things but it is an anti-seizure medication. It helps with

neuropathy pain but rarely other types of pain.

I could not get along without Neurontin. It has not ever made me gain weight.

But Prednisone has! I am getting off of Prenisone now. God bless you, I know

the pain of which you speak.
