I'm currently doing the watch and wait deal for 30 days as this is part of the process before we go see the doc for anti-biotics and blood tests. Current meds are as follows; 1. Primidone 2. Vioxx 3. Lipitor 4. Amitripyline 5. Valerian Isn't life bitchen? I still work 40+ hours a week and go ride my dirt bike every now and then to get away from life's issues. And just to top this past year off my dog died this morning. Sorry if this is too much info but it is my life anyway and I would not trade it for anything. I still have a great wife and two sons and my Mom. Take care. Steve

I also read all your injuries list and am AMAZED you still are working full time?! How do you do it?! I see you have a postive attitude by what you said about your family! you are a VERY strong man! you give ME hope! I am very ill but my kids, God and everyone else who cares about me helps me keep going. I am looking at the 'reaper,' just like you. I could have colon cancer. My weight has been low since last fall when I was supposed to have tests but ended up in the hospital with flu/dehydration/uti for 3 days and was down to 90 lbs at that time. Started to get better then this year Feb. my youngest son was hit by a car and is now disabled. He was in the hospital for 3 and a half months so there went my tests! So now, I have to do it. No excuses! Thank you for sharing your pain/illnesses and giving ME hope to go on! you are an inspiration! I prayed for you. I do so hope they find what's wrong & fix it and you will live long and see your grandchildren grow! Love always, . Steve Hackett wrote:Jan, Here is my list of injuries/ills... Are you ready? I certainly understand about " trading your life. " I've gone through a lot of " injuries and pain " in my life..but as you...wouldn't change it if I could. I wouldn't have learned things I've learned and wouldn't be who I am today. I do know that God has a plan for me..and is taking good care of me I'll certainly keep you in my prayers. Btw..what kind of dog did you have?? I have 2 mini dachshunds..who are the joys of my life (right after my hubby!) Jan @->--
Guest guest
Thanks Caroline! What is drumming?? Thanks for all the great suggestions! I've always been very active..and have so many hobbies that I love. They certainly help to keep my mind focused..and off of " ME! " I've learned some relaxation techniques over the years and they also help a great deal. I know that pain will be my constant companion..and I have to learn all I can about ways to keep it under control and will continue to live my life to the fullest. You're certainly an inspiration to me! Jan @->--
Guest guest
Jan, Drumming is when you get in a gang fight and you don't have a gang... Yo take a drumming. Food for thought. Take care. Guest guest
Jan, My dog's name was ... She was a " BIG " Dalmation. Since we got her she ended up being an inside dog. She was about twice the weight as a normal Dal. When I was stationed at Langley (before my health went down the tubes) I used to jog around the flight line. I'd do that three times a week plus an 8 mile hike with a 40+ pound pack. I got this great (?) idea to start taking her on the hike once a week. Not a good idea... She only made it half way around before she started looking for a shade tree. I all most had to carry her and the back pack! Even though she was not the best dog I ever had she is missed none the less. Thanks for the interest. Take care. Steve Jan wrote: And just to top this past year off my dog died this morning. Guest guest
Hi Steve, I'm donna from Ct. and I just lost 2 cats that were 22 yrs old. So sad, I used to call them the Blues Brothers. They were jet black and acted cool, just like the real B.B. I have a golden retriever that is 8 yrs. old now. I love her to death. She is my best friend in the whole world. So, I know your loss. I am so sorry. I have had to put down dogs before and it hurts almost as much as our physical pain. So sorry for your loss. donna
Guest guest
, Don't worry... I'm not turned off of dogs. But this past year has had a lot of negative events for me and I need low maintence relationships right now. And cats provide that. I miss that dog bad. Take care.
