Sondra we are just teasing. NO way can I ever afford to go

anywhere alone fly everyone to Australia. We were making fun of the

private school tuition in Colorado springs of only $30,000. We were

cracking the ice a figure of speech LOL

Charlene, we haven't had the IEP yet so I'm not sure at this point

how much O.T. & S.T. Sky will be getting it. I'm going to ask for 3

days a week for Sky, but I don't know if we'll get it. I know here

it's pretty standard for them to offer the kids under 3 that

aren't " severe " 2 days a week. They are going to give her P.T., but

they aren't calling it P.T., lol. As for the teacher coming to the

home it's pretty common here. I know on thursdays the center is only

open for half a day so I guess that's how the teachers schedule the

time. I'm sure the visit is probably no more than an hour long. I

know it won't be enough no matter what we end up with, but at least

it's something & so far our coordinator is pushing for everything

I've told her I want. I was actually pretty pleased with our meeting

last week. It went much smoother than I expected & I got a lot more

yes answers than no answers.

Its OK Sondra we all love you and dont mind any questions. When I

am in a crowd or with someone I dont know I am quiet when I dont understand

something because I dont want to get made fun of. I am glad you feel

confident of asking questions of who what why and so forth.

Well, they have 3 aspergers and a downs.....if they refuse hannah we

will have something to say about it, especially if I have already

offered to come in as much as I can to assist.....Maybe I am banging my

head up the wrong tree, but I have to try for the sake of my other

kids..i can’t let them go their own way just because of Hannah...yet, I

have to think of hannah when trying to make decisions for the other

2.........it is just do darn hard, if things don’t work out with her, I

guess my only other option is to homeschool her, and I dread that, as I

am no teacher...no patience what so ever......but I have to take 1 day

at a time for now. cherylS

RE: private schools

Yes, you have a point........well, they tell me they have 3 aspergers

kids already...where as Hannah isn’t aspergers......and there is a

difference, I don’t care what anyone says..and they have a down syndrome

child as well, we shall have an idea after Tuesday when we go and see

the principal.....we are taking all the kids with us.......so he can see

her. I have been asking around, and it seems that christian schools here

get the money from the same source, so if Hannah is getting 12 hours a

week in public.....she should be able to retain this in private.....i am

hoping and praying anyway..if not, it maybe a mummy over the fence each

morning, this is why we bought the land bordering onto the school, and I

have to think of my other 2 kids...it is so hard when you have a mixed

bunch. cherylS

Sorry sondra.......what I mean;t by that was the land we have bought and

will build a house on next year hopefully, is right next to the school,

so all I will have to do is " jump over the fence' if they need me for

hannah. But my husband has already suggested that we ask the school if

we could put a gate there so I won’t have to jump no fences......i am

getting a bit old and heavy now to jump fences anyway...haha, hope this

helps you understand my way of talking. cherylS

Re: private schools

So mummy means mom, but then what do she mean by a mom over the fence

each day. why does she go over the fence, why does she not just go into

the building front door. Just little confused. Sometimes words are such

a challenge as they seem to mean less and less of what they say, but

more and more of what they do not say. Sondra

well today I to be to goed to therapy and asked my other therapist to be to

do some ABA things to teach me things of social things that others tend to

do with ease. I to be to asked her today to teach me idioms as I to telled

her I to be to want to learn this as it id often so much frustrations to

know how to understand peoples when they to use thems. Well she to be

teaching them to me. I to of more confused by the ways in which NT use

language as these idioms are sometimes of much morbid and weird LOL and they

to say I to be of different. Like the phrase it cost a arm and leg, meaning

one would pay of their limbs for certain things in life, definitely not an

autistic way of being? Another I to learned a while back was to break a

leg, not understand why any would be to say this to another, but it is you

way of saying good luck very weird. But maybe if I can be to memorize this

can be to use them effectively too but not sure I to be to want to use them

as they are much different.

ket, in true much like this list and much learning for me too. I to like

the way others to be in words but when small talk goes here it leaves me not

able to connect because not always able to understand the words. I cannot

read or tell joke things never can do this or do it well. I to often take

words as meaning exactly what they say, one to say apply common sense to

them and how can one when one lacks common sense. LOL
