Guest guest
I have used Forest levothroid for the past 5+ years. I tried some of the others (Levoxyl, Synthroid) and because I do mine sublingually found the levothroid worked best. What I have found is that sometimes my dosage needs to be a bit lower in the summer because I am at the right dosage, so going over a tad pushes me into having the symptoms you describe. So, I would think it's possible that due to the inactive ingredients your body might be absorbing more of the T4 from the generic. I also had problems getting Forest levothroid a couple weeks ago - it was backordered and I had to wait almost 10 days. But, the pharmacy did get it in. My guess is that due to the Armour shortage, they may have ramped down production of levothroid to expedite getting the Armour back out on the market. So, I would suggest you call a few pharmacies to find one that has it and switch back to what worked for you in the past. B. > > Hi all, > I've been taking Levothroid for years with no problems but pharmacy did not have and wasn't able to order Levothroid last month so I switched to the generic Levothyroxine. Now, I'm experiencing rapid heart rate and rise in blood pressure and suspect the Levothyroxine but unsure. So, I'm seeking opinions if others have experienced this. > Thanks. >
