Guest guest
Hello. I'm planning to attend 's weekend event in Asheville, NC, at the end of February, and I have a question, never having been to a event before. How does the Friday night public event relate to the Intensive on Saturday and Sunday? If I just attend the Saturday and Sunday, will I miss something that only happens at the public event? Thanks... Guest guest
Tom, It's a great experience if you are there for the whole programme.... As far as is concerned...she's like an ocean....the same taste...wherever...whenever you are in her presence. For the sake of fun, if possible...might want to do work with her on your last statement " I miss something that only happens at the public event " Have a fun-filled time ahead Satish question about 's weekend events Hello. Guest guest
I was thinking about going to that intensive, myself. Is there a difference in content between the Friday event and the Saturday/Sunday intensive beyond the obvious difference in participants, or is the intensive simply increased exposure to The Work? Perhaps I could work with her on the statement " I'm thinking of ways to save money " . Your thoughts are appreciated. Guest guest
In my experience, on Friday nights katie asks people to fill out a mini-worksheet and then she asks who wants to do the work with her. Usually there's time for a few. It's nice to hear her facilitating and sharing the process of the four questions, and i seem to always get so much from what other people are working on, whatever it is! On Saturday and Sunday, attendees work with each other, learning to facilitate one another, and there are various exercises that seem designed to take people deeper, looking at underlying beliefs, motivations, assumptions, judgments, etc. (a taste of what takes place at The School for the Work). I found the public events AND the intensives to be very helpful. And, what i experienced at The School for the Work continues to unfold and open me up in new ways even now, over a year since i attended. It's all about getting to know me. As katie says, (and this is paraphrased) 'We've always been other realized. The Work is about self-realization.'
