frequent infections/neutropenia

My friend's 23 month old has left sided polymicrogyria. She is not on any meds

and has had problems with recurrent infections, mouth ulcers, poor healing. A

work-up has been started and she has a very low neutrophil count of 3% (total

wbc 4700). She is also mildly anemic. The pediatrician just called and told

her to isolate the child. Has anyone had this problem or aware of any links

between polymicrogyria and neutropenia/anemia. Thanks so much, Beck
