Guest guest
I don't know much about these conditions, but it could it be a possibility you are experiencing some muscle spasming? This can feel just like pain and may not feel the " vibration " or " spasming " affect but that could be somehtign that is Hi Jan. Yes...I do have a lot of muscle spasms as well. I've gotten to where I can " usually " tell if my pain is muscle spasm or nerve pain..but not always. I have muscle relaxers that usually help. I've also found that if I keep up with my calcium that helps as well. Thanks! Jan @->--
Guest guest
said that none of these things have anything to do with my pain. Assumption being, I guess, that there is some other wierd thing going on that they haven't found. Hi Di. Thanks for your reply. I'm so sorry for your pain..and know how frustrating it can be to find the cause..let alone try to treat it! I have to begin each day asking God to give me patience and compassion. Two things I seem to lack lately..especially when I'm hurting a lot. I really appreciate you and everyone here..sharing your thoughts, ideas and personal challenges AND successes! Guest guest
Lee..Thanks so much for the MRI suggestion. I'm sure there's a " standing MRI " somewhere in the Houston area. Also..my chiropractor/acupuncturist recently suggested that I take all of my MRI and myelogram films to a radiologist..and ask for an independant reading to evaluate scar tissue specifically. She said that often scar tissue can be a problem and many radiologists don't really LOOK for that (and aren't always qualified to notice it) when reading an MRI. I'm not sure if that's true...but I guess it couldn't hurt. Jan @->--
Guest guest
Hi Yall, I haven't posted in a long time and am just now getting to go through all the messages. I hate to beat a dead horse, so to speak, but, a lot of you describe several conditions that sound like MARFANS SYNDROME. Check out the sites for it and you might see yourself there. That unexplained rib pain is a marfans thing that I can't remember the name of. I have had it all my life and thought everybody had that. Kind of like a stab between the ribs. You have to breathe swallow until it stops? It is a very common syndrome that is thought to be rare. What is rare is it being diagnosed. Most Doc. don't know what the indicators are for it. Or they think if you don't have one of the things, you don't have it. It is important to have a scan to make sure your aortic arch is not enlarged, which could led to sudden death. Thanks. Pam, chronic pain and marfans sufferer " Mom E. " wrote:DX's are DDD, bulging and torn discs at L4-5 and L5-S1, facet joint damage at c6-7, nerve pain caused by??? I have DDD,stenosis,grade1-2 unstable spondy, and unDX'd pain around ribs.
