Guest guest
Could you ask a compounding pharmacy if they have flavoring that has low glycemic index? Aspartame, which I believe is in Crystal Light, is not the safest stuff in the world. Is there any kind of help line run out of the keto clinic at s Hopkins? Just an idea. Goodl uck! Thea Ketogenic moms I am running into so many obstacles with my son's meds via button. The GI does not want compounded meds through the tube. We have been working on his eating skills. And, I have discovered that he will take his B6 by mouth it mixed in Crystal Light. I don't think crystal light will work for all his meds. Is anyone giving liquid meds orally on the ketogenic diet? If so, are they high in carbs or are there special mixes with little to 0 carbs. The last option is to do it via rectum. Not something I am ready to do, especially to a 15 month old. Thank you, Julissa Sent from my iPad
Guest guest
Thanks. I will pass it along to the nutritionist. I do understand about the aspartame, but I needed to find out if he was ready to take the meds orally and minimize the amount of meds through his tube.
