Dr Dobyns recommendation that all PMG kids have their heel stick...

Hi everyone,

While at the FCM Convention, Dr. Dobyns recommended that EVERY child's heel

stick blood spot cards be tested for CMV. He states that he feels that CMV could

be the causative factor in 20-30% of all PMG cases.

I just found the actual retention policy for EACH state for the heel stick blood

spot cards that Dr. Dobyns recommended that we ALL request to have tested for

CMV. A LOT of the states keep the cards for less than ONE year! Some only three

months!

He said that your physician should be able to contact your state organization to

request the CMV testing.
