Guest guest
HI from Alaska, Your doctor is probably talking about the protease inhibitors that are in clinical trials. I have been following this very carefully as I'm in the same boat. These new drugs will take up to 5 years to make it to the public so I am trying to get back on the old treatment. I'm glad you joined our group and we'll fill you in on all the latest. What part of Alaska? Guest guest
that is the ones they were talking about. I don't feel comfortable waiting for 5 yrs. I don't understand why the doctor is saying not to treat with the old peg/rebtrol again though. I did pretty well with the treatments, at least as well as can be expected. at the end of 40 weeks I was undetectable. and stayed that way for over two years. Now I have it back and I want to kick it in the butt again. Not that I enjoyed treatment the first time around, I just don't want to waste anytime fight it. There is another specialist in anchorage that I am going to call and see if I can get an appt with. I live outside of anchorage in the Mat- su valley. Palmer, alaska I have been here for three years. I love it.
