Guest guest
Hi Diane, Welcome to the group. Are you doing anything to treat the adrenal insufficiency? One of the reasons some folks do better on Armour is that it has both T3 and T4. Hi, I just joined and need to introduce myself. I am 48 year old female. I have Hashimotos since 2004. I also have adrenal insufficiency. My latest thyroid results were: TSH = 0.2 (0.46-3.59) FT4 = 1.1 T3 Total = 319 (180-420) Currently, I take synthroid 75 mcg daily, and 7.5 mcg cytomel. I am not feeling very well. I lose a lot of hair, have dry skin, feeling sluggish, and tired, ... I am changing doctors to see Dr. Vivian who is listed as a doctor that prescribe Armour. I have never been on it, (excuse my ignorance!), and want to know why you recommend it. I will be seeing Dr. in February. I do appreciate any input. Thanks, Diane
Guest guest
Hi Kim, Thanks for your response. Yes, I am taking hydrocortisone daily to treat the adrenal insufficiency. I cannot function without that. Part of the question that I am asking about Armour, is whether I should ask my new doctor to prescribe it for me. > > Hi Diane, > > Welcome to the group.
