Dear Friends,

Stand back, I need a little venting ground to say the unsayable.

Like some of you out there I have RSD which is a strange disease and

without the right doctors can even be hard to prove. But I am

successfully past that point and am now on SSD and doing the best I

can. I do have chronic pain but other symptoms are far more crippling

to me anxiety first of all. Some will recall that I recently quit

narcotics without any assistance but I am not touching any of my meds

for my anxiety, Effexor 600mg, Topamax 250mg, Doxepin 100mg. The other

thing is memory loss. Stress is very bad, it stimulates RSD in its

attack form so I don't stress if I can not remember something that is

part of the new me I have learned to live with in recent years but

there I times when I have no presence in my mind and I can not hold a

conversation.

So two days ago my sister came to visit and I assumed she is

staying at my house and from no where my mother begins attacking me as

being a phony regarding memory problems and I know my sisters plans

that she told me three weeks ago and she kept harping on me this way.

I am a grown man and she was acting toward me like she was a child. My

brother and sister each have expressed the difficulty of living with

mom but I don't think they had to deal with something like I have.

Rant over. AL

Dear Al,

I am so sorry that you had to go thru that torture, as well as, dealing with rsd

and all the complications that go along with it. I would like to say conrats on

stopping all your pain meds? I dont know you well, as, i have had alot on my

plate these days and have not been up to date on all the postings. But, it sure

sounds as though you have had it very tough.

I completely understand that, some families are so uncompassionate in regards to

our ailments and our pain. I dont know what else to say, except that, you need

to be able to vent your frustrations regarding this issue for sure. This is

such a caring group and i care as well. So if you need to vent more, i am here.

HA HA HA... quite a message in response to a vent on memory problems.

Alan, hang in there, you are an inspiration. Don't let anyone else

let you kick up guilt, anger, or pessimism (sp?). Keep believing in

yourself and what you can do as your life unfolds.

3 Cheers,

Alan
