Right, Di, it's really depressing when we have to pay people to interact with us

in person. What the heck is THAT all about? Someone online recently asked why is

it when people are in pain, others run the other way or just stay away?

I'm incapacitated & can't do much. I need help in my home & with my yard & even

myself. I'm from a large immediate & extended family since childhood with four

kids & 5 grands, 1 great grand of my own. But none, except one son & wife 3

hours drive south of me for only 2x/year overnight, come to see me. I haven't

had a phone call from any friends or family for over 2 weeks now. I've placed

several calls, all long distance, & gotten not one return call & not one of them

answered the phone. Go figure!

My life is so darn boring who'd want to talk to me anyway? There's nothing new

going on with me except the same old pain & searching for relief. This is really

depressing because I've been the one who raised the four kids myself as a single

mom, did things for other family members, catered to my husbands when married to

them & caregave my deceased hubby for years.

I have a sister & her hubby who live 45 minutes down the highway & a brother 1

hour down the road from me but they haven't been here for 2 years when I first

moved in here. I've had to drive down there to see them at all times since then.

This past year I haven't been to drive that far. Where the blazes is everyone

when I need THEM? Nowhere in sight! Why live? Apparently no one in my family

cares if I do or not. What's up with that? I'm really depressed about it.

Caroline....complaining & whining

My sentiments exactly. Having slowly lost all my friends over the

the only people I interact with these days are health professionals.

Aren't people great. When you need a friend...there is no one there. I have

gone through the same thing many times. Have learned to have a fulfilling life

without a lot of excuses why I don't feel well. My hope for health. donna

Heck, I can't even get out to meet anyone for any kind of social life. So how to

learn to enjoy one without complaining about my aches & pains isn't even an

issue.
