My son is 10 years old. He had never been on any type of yeast treatment or any probiotic supp, until this Feb, we saw our very first DAN, and she asked my son to take one probiotic before night time. Here are the comparison of before taking probiotic and after probiotic: From age of 0 to 10, before my son was on probiotic: He seemed ok with his gut situation, always had normal bowel movements, never or very seldom to have constipation, only allergic to certain food ( such as diary and eggs), these food will make him go to bathroom instantly and have loose stool. That was all. From age 10, This Feb, our DAN wanted my son be on probiotic: We gave him probiotic on a daily basis, seems he had a better appetites ( not sure because he was also on MB12 shots and cause good appetites), good bowel movements, and also better mood. We are out of probiotic for two weeks

now, ( due to supplies shortgage and shipping), we have not received probiotic so far, and my son's behavior started to display more aggitation, rage, fuzziness, and he had several times of loose stool and greenish stool. Yesterday, he vomited and fever, we had to give him two of these med to stop his vomiting... So, my question is how does probiotic works in the body? Before we touch probiotic, he was doing ok in his GI system, but not perfect. But after he was on probiotc, he is doing better in GI and mood, BUt, my concern is once we stop probiotic, he turned worse both in GI and mood than even before he was one probiotic. Can anyone explain to me what is it and should I continue to give him probiotic? But, I don't want my son to get hooked on probiotic which he seems to have never needed before? Worried mom,Rei
