Living Donor Cost & Tx Center

My question is where does the responsibility of the transplant center

end when working up a potential living donor? I have 2 patients whose

EKG's were abnormal sent for cardiac consult, one pt required a stress

echo and then was cleared by cardiac. However my other pt's EKG is

showing a possible heart attack age unknown. We are sending this pt for

cardiac consult; will probably do stress echo and then may require

additional testing to determine candidacy. Does the transplant center

continue to absorb this cost until the cardiac group or our tx group

rules him out as a possible donor?

Thanks for your input.
