Guest guest
Hi Georgia Can you change your work hours? If you worked early in the morning before it gets so hot it might be easier. Would your employer consider putting a room air conditioner in for you? Sometimes people here use Swamp Coolers which would be cheaper for your employer to install. Good luck Kaylene >It's good to know that others have trouble with the heat and I'm not >being a baby about it. > >Thanks, >Georgia > > > _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I live in Conn. and the humidity can kill a horse. I hate it. Was in Maine one time when the humidity was high and all I wanted to do was dig a big hole and crawl in. It is really bad, and I like the cold much better than the heat. Life is just a little sweeter when you don't have sweat running down between your boobs and down your back into your pants which you can't pull up after you go to the bathroom cause there stuck to your legs. I like sweat shirts and long pants and socks too. I have a real bad back and osteoarthritis in my hands and arms and shoulders. Stenosis in my spine and broke my tailbone too. So I can sympathize. Take care, donna
Guest guest
Donna, We've got extreme 3 digit summer heat here in the northern Sacramento, CA valley. Cold like a desert at night though. But mighty grateful for air conditioning buldings & home in the daytime. I need the sun for the vitamin D which helps both depression & builds/strengthens bones among many other healing things. Always been a sun worshipper but can't do it in this kind of day heat. I need to start getting up earlier in the morning, say about 6:00 a.m to get chores done so I can go outside in the morning & soak up the sun for a couple of hours each day before the high heat sets in. Now if only I can do it & find enough morning time to get all my shopping done, errands run & get to necessary appointments before the day's heat zonks me. Maybe I'd better go to bed way earlier at night & get up at 4-5:00 a.m instead. Course that means sleeping the afternoon away. Oh well, there's nothing like a siesta. Problem is, then I'm wakeful at night & sleeping later in the morning. How do I do this? Is there really a way I can? Just talkin' to m'self here, don't mind me. Blessings, Caroline Donna Berg wrote: Hi Barbara, I live in Conn. and the humidity can kill a horse. I hate it.
Guest guest
The heat here is SC is making me ill! Literally, sick to my stomach ill. Hot baths make my back and leg feel so much better, for a little while anyway, but hot weather just makes me sick! Hugs,
