Guest guest
Hi , I'm so sorry to hear about your recent asthma attack & hospital emergency treatment. But glad you got there & it was taken care of. I hope you get your breathing machine soon. My step-grandon had one since early childhood. He used it every night. It helped him play the sports he loved. He did so much better after he got it. I think yo u will too. I'm sening healing energies your way. I'm gettin way better, btw. The Vioxx I've been taking for 3 days now is really clearning up the pain & inflammation in my hip. Now I've only got basically the ongoing low back pain to deal with. But a Darvocet for times when I've physical work to do will help with that. As long as I don't overdo physically I should be fine now & way more comfortable in my body. Thank heaven this last months-long pain-ridden crises is now ending!! Sometimes miracles are in pill or machine form too. You never know. Blessings, Caroline
Guest guest
Hi Caroline. Thank you for your kind e-mail/caring! Makes me feel good! I too, hope/pray the breathing machine helps! This is the pitts! Never has my asthma been so bad! I'm soooooo weak it's ridiculous! Yesterday I spent most of the time on the couch but did feel stronger later & bathed, I can't even take a shower/bath because the steam makes me cough & I'm afraid I'll have another attack! so I 'bed bathe.' I think I either had an allergic reaction or side effects from the prednisone the dr. gave me because I felt feverish/weird last night, but then I slept well, thank God! Today I still feel weak so I'm just going to take it easy. I'm an apt. mgr. who has 1 apt & another 1 coming up today & I don't have the energy to do anything! This heat is ridiculous! I wish it would stop! I'm sorry you have been in sooooooo much pain/ill! I'm praying for you! I know what u mean about pills/machines! We do what we have to, to survive! Hope you stay ok! Have a great day! Love, . Caroline Pollak wrote: I'm so sorry to hear about your recent asthma attack & hospital emergency treatment. But glad you got there & it was taken care of. Guest guest
Oh gosh, , doesn't sound like you need apartment issues besides. I'm glad I don't have to be employed at a job anymore or do much else but take care of myself, house & yard. Oh...the car too. But that's way more than enough for this old gal. Wishing you much luck & feeling way better. Caroline

Guest guest
Hi Caroline. I was feeling better, sick again this a.m. Either stomach flu (I have colitis so it could be that) or I'm getting an infection tho I don't have symptoms of infection it could be allergy. I get it with allergies sometimes. I was like this yesterday tho & felt better later, so I'm hopeful that later I'll feel better. Today it's been a week since I've been sick. I just want to get and stay well! Glad you are feeling better. you're funny! I love your sense of humor! I get nervous about being sick because I'm getting behind in work/housework but I know my health is #1 so I have to take care of me! I got sick with the flu last fall & ended up dehydrating & in the hospital for 3 days & I don't want to go thru that again! Well, going to go. Have a good day. Thanks for your e-mail and making me laugh! It feels good! Love, laura. Caroline Pollak wrote:Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. I am too, gradually day by day. I know anxiety well. Guest guest
Oh gosh, I know stomach flu, allergies, etc. well. Usually get that stuff in the winter. Didn't think I'd make it out alive this past winter. But I pulled through. So I sympathize with ya. Yeah, it's best to drink scads of water to prevent dehydration & also to wash the virus & /or infection out of the body. Drink at least l/2 your body weight in fluid oz. every day. My chiro has me drinking l/2 gallon of water daily & it's working. I weigh 118 lbs so l/2 gallon is plenty for me along with other liquids & fluids in food. Hope you feel better soon. I'm on my 3rd day of an apple/water-only fast/diet. I always feel better after I do this. Already, after 2 days on it, I'm feeling way less pain. One more day to go. Yay!! Guest guest
Hi Caroline. I used to get these infections every few months, years ago, until I started bicycling. I hadn't had one in years until last fall when I got one and the flu & ended up dehydrating & in the hospital! I DON'T want to go back to the hospital! I've been in hospitals with my 2 kids since last year! Wow! U must have been REALLY sick last winter! I'm glad you're ok now. Apples/water only?! Is that ok? you feel ok? Be careful, I want you to be ok my friend! I am drinking lots of water & started taking antibiotic because the nausea is making me crazy/depressed! I weigh about 100 lbs. Last year before my daughter got sick I was 130. Then dropped to like 90 when I was in the hospital and back up to 104 in Jan. but then my son got hit & I went back down to 100. Thank you for your kind wishes/e-mail! It makes me feel good to know you're there to talk to/ listen to me! Thank you! I'm glad u feel better with that apple/water! No pain is great! Have a good one! Love, .
Guest guest
Flu/dehydration can be so devastating & scarey too, yes. I feel for you. I don't like hospitals either. In & out ASAP is the only way to do that. Too much death, disease, suffering & ghosts wandering around in those. Too many things to catch from other patients too. Ditto nursing homes. Actually I'm fine on the apples/water only. Today's the last day for that, thankfully. I couldn't continue to much longer. Though I've been on all liquid diet/fasts in the past for two weeks or more with no ill effects, only benefits. It's very uncomfortable to go through though, especially the first couple of days. There are symptoms from detoxing that occur. Headache, upset stomach, more fatigue mostly. For me anyway as well as most people on such fasting diets. But the hip pain is back again today though not as bad. Also I'm sick & tired of eating nothing but apples & drinking plain water. I'm dying for more normal food. But not regretting this one iota. If anything, it's an exercise in self-discipline I thought I'd lost over a year ago. Glad I've got that much self-discipline & will power anyway. Now if only I could quit smoking too. Yeah right! That'll be the day! My but you lost a lot of weight there. Stress will do that & more challenging activities too. Always has for me. Though I never lost so much so fast as you did. I stay around 115-120 mostly now, mostly around my abdomen, darn it!! I used to be 100-110 in my young adult days though but had to work out a lot to keep my figure then. Can't do that anymore tho. Fasting diets like this apple one, help keep my weight down & manageable cuz even 5 extra pounds hurts my low back & hips a whole lot more. So I try to do them periodically. Not the same kind all the time though. I try different ones for variety. One is supposed to do daily enemas or colonics when fasting like this. They release tons of pain immediately. But I cannot do that anymore. So it doesn't help as much. Blessings, Caroline laura dekoker wrote: Hi Caroline. I used to get these infections every few months, years ago, until I started bicycling.
