Guest guest
Can you recommend an enzyme that I can use for a 13 month old and how long should I wait to see if it is working and how do you usually take enzymes with all meals? > > yes I would try enzyme, if it doesn't change it whatever ISN " T coming out digested needs to be pulled from the diet as it will just strip the gut and become an allergen or food sensitivity quickly > > Recovering from Autism is a marathon > NOT a sprint, but FULLY possible! > Read more about it on my BLOGs at > http://www.myspace.com/christelking > another question about poop > > > It always looks like my son doesn't digest his food I always see food > in in its regualr form and I'm not sure. Guest guest
Go to whole foods and try wholezyme - I believe is the name...they will let you return it if you do not like it...or you can try Trienza from Houston Neutracuticals...very popular choice. Enzyme Stuff site is very informative...Mackie used to have the same issue until we gave an enzyme before EVERYTHING he ate...much better now, no big chunks of undigested food and has one formed stool a day...also make sure to do probiotics...this has also helped him. > > It always looks like my son doesn't digest his food I always see food > in in its regualr form and I'm not sure. Guest guest
My baby is 13 months too...If she were to eat carrots raw they would probably get chunks too...it is still a bit young for raw carrots...if you cook them firm, not mushy, but def so they are much softer than raw this may clear up the diaper stuff...it did in our house. We also dropped sweets, c carbs, all processed foods, and she is doing GREAT. She also tolerates raw milk as it turns out, but not pasteurized...she is thriving...I would go to softer easier to digest foods for a bit and also do soups - hearty ones can be blended and you can get all KINDS of good stuff in that way. Cheers. > > > > yes I would try enzyme, if it doesn't change it whatever ISN " T > coming out digested needs to be pulled from the diet as it will just > strip the gut and become an allergen or food sensitivity quickly > > > > Recovering from Autism is a marathon > > NOT a sprint, but FULLY possible! > > Read more about it on my BLOGs at > > http://www.myspace.com/christelking > > another question about poop > > > > > > It always looks like my son doesn't digest his food I always see > food > > in in its regualr form and I'm not sure. Guest guest
Hi , You really don't want to let this persist. It sounds like you are in the early stages of your biomedical journey; if you haven't already, get to a DAN doctor and start addressing this issue. Yes, enzymes would be a great start. I wouldn't know what to recommend for such a young child. I would definitely consult a DAN doc. You also want to consider kefir and/or probiotics. Are you GFCF? Are only certain foods coming out the way they went in, or is it the entire diet? Is your child distended? How often does he have a bowel movement? Does he push on his abdomen in any way? You may also want to talk with a DAN doc about gut inflammation, the possible causes, and what you can do. You might ask about transfer factor or colostrum, see if either of those are appropriate. Take care, > > It always looks like my son doesn't digest his food I always see food > in in its regualr form and I'm not sure. Its usually an orange color > with food in in it undigested. Guest guest
I started GFCF when he turned two. It seems like rice, peppers, some veges, onions and grapes, are not digesting well. Also it smells alot like what he had for a meal the night before. I don't know if that is weird but weird to me. I wounldnt say the entire diet but is undigested but there's undigested food in most every bowel. He does have a protruding belly it pops out. He also has a hernia. So he has an outy belly button after he eats normally. He has a bowel movement about 3 times a day. sometimes more some times 1 but I'd say 3 is most commom. I remember tranfer factor. I gave it to my mom in stage 4 cancer. She passed but it's interesting that it would be used in this case. Why so? and why colostrum? I know its not normal and he also hasn't spoke yet any words and so I am curious if this is all related. Looking for answers > > > > It always looks like my son doesn't digest his food I always see food > > in in its regualr form and I'm not sure.
