Fall asleep, startle awake...

I'm hoping someone here can shed some insight on what is happening to me at

night.

I'm doing okay falling asleep, but as soon as I go to sleep, I get a surge of

something like adreneline, and wake up quite feeling extremely fearful. My

usually normal b/p goes up, my pulse is racing and it takes a long time to go

back to sleep. This happens even when I take a nap, and happened ALL night long

last night.

I called and faxed Dr. S. Elmore last week and yesterday, but she has not

returned my calls. I was wondering if it is a side effect of thyroid

treatment...I have done it in the past, before treatment, but it happens almost

every night now.

I started compound natural progesterone last Sunday...but am wondering if it

could be making me feel worse? My hormone level from last October showed almost

no progesterone in my system...all other hormones seemed ok...as far as I can

tell.

Anyway, I actually am waiting for ERFA to arrive...so today I just didn't take

my Armour thyroid. I think it is making things worse.

I need to find a new Doctor. S. Elmore has been a huge disappointment. I think

it must be hard to treat people who need additional help.

I'm exhausted, so some of this post may not make sense. However, I'd appreciate

help.

My next decision is between Spurlock and Margaret Christiansen. I think

said Christiansen may undertreat thyroid but would help with female

hormones?

Thanks to all the help from this board.
